Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 June 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Trajectory (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Trajectory provides tools to backtest trading strategies against historical market data and, where enabled, to deploy automated trading strategies to your own brokerage account (currently Alpaca). The Service is a software tool. It is not a broker, dealer, investment adviser, or financial planner.
3. No financial advice
Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Strategies, backtest results, statistics, and any other output are provided for informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions.
4. Trading risk
Trading securities and cryptocurrencies involves substantial risk of loss, including the possible loss of all capital. Backtest results are hypothetical: they are computed against historical data, do not account for all real-world conditions (such as slippage, liquidity, or outages), and past performance does not guarantee future results. Automated strategies can fail, behave unexpectedly, or execute trades you did not anticipate. You accept all risk arising from connecting the Service to a brokerage account.
5. Your account
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
6. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment provider, Stripe. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect according to the billing settings shown at the time of cancellation. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
7. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Service, including by attempting to bypass usage limits, reverse engineering the Service, reselling access without permission, or using the Service for unlawful activity.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, or indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these terms. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Service or email; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
